The short version
- We build custom software for you based on a written proposal that sets out the scope, price and timeline.
- You can pay in installments: 20% to start, then 20% each time we deliver a phase, with the final 20% on completion.
- Once your software is fully paid for, the custom code we wrote for you is yours.

1. About these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply when you use sammyfoldtech.com or engage SammyFold Technology ("SammyFold", "we", "us") to design, build or maintain software. "You" means the person or organisation using our website or hiring us. By using our website or accepting a proposal from us, you agree to these Terms.
2. Our services
SammyFold Technology is a software development company. We design, build, deploy and maintain custom software for clients, including web applications, enterprise and management systems, e-commerce and marketplace platforms, AI-powered tools, and real-time applications. We also provide tech training and mentorship.
3. Proposals & project agreements
Before we start a project, we agree the details with you in writing — usually a proposal, quotation or contract (your "Project Agreement"). It sets out what we will build, the price, the payment plan, and the expected timeline. If anything in your Project Agreement differs from these Terms, your Project Agreement takes priority for that project.
4. Pricing & payments
- Prices are quoted in Ghana Cedis (GHS) unless your Project Agreement states another currency, such as USD or EUR.
- We accept payment by bank transfer, mobile money, or other methods we agree with you.
- Quotes are based on the scope described in the Project Agreement. Work outside that scope is quoted separately.
- Third-party costs such as domain names, hosting, SMS credits or paid APIs are listed separately unless your Project Agreement says they're included.
5. Paying for your software in installments
We want great software to be within reach for every business, so you can pay for your project in installments and SammyFold gets the job done for you. Our standard plan is five payments of 20%:

- Phases. What each phase includes is set out in your Project Agreement. Larger projects may have more phases and smaller projects fewer, in which case the payments are divided equally across them.
- Pay as you see progress. Each 20% falls due once the phase is delivered for you to review. We start the next phase once that payment is received.
- No interest. We don't charge interest on installments.
- Other arrangements. If your Project Agreement sets out a different payment plan, that plan applies to your project.
If an installment is late
We understand things happen — please talk to us early if you need to adjust your schedule. If an installment becomes overdue, we'll remind you first. If it remains unpaid, we may pause work on your project until it's settled. Project timelines move forward by the length of any pause. We won't charge interest on late installments unless your Project Agreement says so.
6. Your responsibilities
- Give us accurate information, the content we need (text, images, logos, data) and timely feedback and approvals.
- Make sure you have the right to use any content, data or materials you give us.
- Keep your login details and administrator credentials safe once we hand them over.
- Use the software we build lawfully, including complying with data protection laws for any personal data it holds.
7. Timelines & changes
We'll give you a realistic timeline and keep you updated with regular progress demos. Timelines depend on receiving feedback, content and payments on time. If you'd like to change or add features after the project starts, we'll let you know how it affects the cost and timeline and agree the change with you before doing the work.
8. Ownership of your software
- Once you have paid in full, you own the custom code and designs we created specifically for your project, and we hand over the source code.
- Until full payment, ownership stays with SammyFold Technology and you receive a licence to use the work in progress for your project.
- We keep ownership of our own pre-existing tools, code libraries and know-how, and give you a permanent licence to use them as part of your software. Open-source components remain under their own licences.
- We may mention your project in our portfolio (for example, your name, logo and a description or screenshot), unless you ask us not to.
9. Third-party services
Your software may rely on third-party services such as hosting providers, payment gateways, SMS providers or mapping and AI APIs. These are governed by those providers' own terms and pricing. We're not responsible for outages or changes made by third-party providers, but we'll help you deal with them.
10. Support & maintenance
After launch, we fix defects in the work we delivered during the support period stated in your Project Agreement. Ongoing maintenance, updates, new features and hosting management are available under a separate maintenance plan.
11. Cancellation & refunds
- Either of us may end a project by giving written notice.
- If a project is cancelled, you pay for the work completed up to the cancellation date and for any third-party costs already incurred on your behalf.
- If you've paid more than that amount, we'll refund the difference. If you've paid less, the remaining amount for completed work becomes due.
- Once the amount for completed work is settled, we'll hand over the work completed so far.
12. Confidentiality
We keep your business information, data and project details confidential and use them only to deliver your project. We're happy to sign a separate non-disclosure agreement if you need one.
13. Liability
We build carefully and test our work, but software can never be guaranteed to be completely error-free. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any project is limited to the amount you have paid us for that project, and we're not liable for indirect losses such as loss of profits or data. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
14. Using our website
- Please don't misuse our website — for example, by attempting to break its security, sending spam through our forms, or submitting false reviews.
- When you submit a review, you confirm it reflects your honest experience and give us permission to publish it, together with your name, role and company, on our website and marketing materials. We may decline or remove reviews at our discretion.
- Answers from our chat assistant are for general guidance only — prices, timelines and commitments are only binding once set out in a Project Agreement.
- Content on this website, including our logo and branding, belongs to SammyFold Technology.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana. If a disagreement arises, we'll first try to resolve it with you in good faith. If we can't, it will be handled by the courts of Ghana.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date shows the latest version. Changes don't affect Project Agreements already signed, unless we both agree.
